That said, your Sun sign is still worth reading. It reflects your core identity, ego, and sense of purpose, so it often resonates on a more personal level. We use it as the default since not everyone has their birth time or location to hand. 

The best move is to read both. Your Rising sign tends to reflect what's going on around you, your circumstances, whilst your Sun sign goes deeper, getting at who you actually are.
